A Mother’s Day potted plant project was held at the Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers (LVCC) Walnut Street center on April 11, 2016. This is a popular service project at the center as gifts are made by the children for their mothers. Enos and Susan Martin joined Tom Harp in a preschool classroom, where we assisted 19 children as they used markers, crayons and stickers to create personalized Mother’s Day cards.
We then helped them plant seeds in cups to be transplanted into pots before Mother’s Day on May 8, 2016. This service project was started early to give the plants time to grow. You can enjoy the pictures showing the children with their cups of dirt.
